We are closing up another great year at First Parish. Social Action programs have provided opportunities to use your time, talent, or money in so many ways. Together, the SA Community has truly lived out the First Parish benediction. The following service trips are planned for First Parish youth: El Salvador, April 2009, for 8th & 9th graders, application due 6/1/08; New Orleans, April 2009, for highschoolers, application due approximately December 2008; Transylvania, July 2009, for highschoolers, application due approximately October 2008; Honduras, February 2010, for highschoolers, application due approximately spring 2009. The Grants Comittee awarded $29,500 in April 2008. Go to Social Action, then Grants for details. Grant applications are next due on October 1, 2008 and then on March 1, 2009. |

The UUSC-UUA has established a humanitarian relief fund to help survivors of the cyclone in Myanmar (formerly Burma). The UUSC will be working with those left out of traditional relief strategies. To donate |
