First Parish in Concord

First Parish in Concord, one of America’s largest Unitarian Universalist congregations, is looking for a rare individual who can combine strong interpersonal and communication skills with a sense of mission, in the part-time position of Membership Director.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, creating a vital ministry of hospitality at First Parish, overseeing both new member cultivation and established member engagement.

You’ll work under the supervision of the Business Manager, and in close partnership with the Development Director.

First Parish is a busy, flexible, and dynamic environment, and its professionals and volunteers work at a high level of expertise.  The Membership Director is needed a total of 20 hours per week for 10 months of the year.  Working many Sunday mornings is required.

Flextime according to your needs can usually be accommodated.   An Associate or Bachelor’s degree is required.  You must be a warm, approachable individual, and able to manage volunteers, and be an articulate spokesperson for Unitarian Universalism.  Most of all, you need the desire to help people get connected to a dedicated and caring community.

Salary:  $12,000
