Congregational Meeting
The members of the Standing Committee invite all parishioners to join them for a congregational meeting on Sunday, January 17, after the 11:00 o'clock service, to discuss the process we will utilize following Gary's announcement of his coming retirement. We will be joined by Susan Beaumont, a consultant with the Alban Institute, whom we have engaged to help lead us through what promises to be a period of reflection and decision making, to be accomplished over the next few months. In addition, starting today members of the Standing Committee will be available at a table at all coffee hours for any and all who would like to talk.

“Life in the Balance” Series Continues on January 22
The film to be shown on January 22 is entitled “The Great Squeeze: Surviving the Human Project.” It is a documentary film that explores our reliance on fossil fuels and the disastrous environmental and economic consequences that have resulted from it. The film was the official selection at the 2009 Environmental Film Festival and the 2009 Durango Independent Film Festival. The “Life in the Balance” series encourages people to learn, connect and act on climate change issues. The film will be shown at the Alcott School auditorium at 7 p.m. The series is brought to you by four collaborating groups dedicated to engaging and educating the public-the League of Women Voters of Concord and Carlisle, ConcordCAN, Carlisle Climate Action, and Concord-Carlisle Adult and Community Education.
